Raw Wildflower Honey – Honey Filled with Sunshine
Our raw wildflower honey is a well-loved classic, recognised and appreciated by many. If you’re not particularly familiar with the different varieties of honey, this is probably what you think of as "true" honey.
Midsummer honey is celebrated for its light aroma and gentle flavour, making it an ideal choice for sweetening herbal teas. This honey is used in traditional Lithuanian remedies, where it is believed to help reduce fever, support the immune system, and benefit women’s reproductive health at any age.
Raw wildflower honey has a richer, more golden hue than rapeseed/dandelion or spring honey, yet it’s lighter than forest honey. It crystallises at a moderate pace, typically setting into a lovely frosted texture by autumn. Similar to spring honey, it has a mild aftertaste, making it perfect for use in cooking or as a natural sweetener for coffee. Its light texture and creamy consistency are favourites among both children and adults.
The properties of raw wildflower honey have been valued in folk medicine for thousands of years. Packed with a range of trace elements, vitamins, amino acids, and other nutrients, this honey is best enjoyed slowly on the tongue to fully appreciate its flavour. Alternatively, it can be mixed into warm water or other beverages.
Savour it with cucumber, spread it on biscuits, use it in baking, or enjoy it straight from the spoon. We hope that a spoonful of our raw wildflower honey brightens your day, sweetens your moments, and lifts your spirits.
Though properly matured honey doesn’t spoil, it’s best to store it in a cool, dark place.
